Describe your past experience in the sports industry and your current role with Field Turf.
I am the past Chief Operating Officer of The Canadian Soccer Association (1985-2006) and for the past 11 years have been a sport/project consultant to a number of key clients including FIFA (2007-2016), CONCACAF and FieldTurf Tarkett, to this day. I liaise with clients primarily across Western Canada and Ottawa assisting them in the planning and developing of FieldTurf playing fields as well as Beynon running tracks.
Why is it important that your company invests in research into player safety on turf?
Investing in the research and development of our product line and supporting empirical research which demonstrates the safety of our artificial turf playing fields is a priority for FieldTurf, for the benefit of our clients and players who compete on our surfaces.
As a sponsor of the 2018 U SPORTS University Athletics Tradeshow, describe your experience at the event.
The event was a major success for FieldTurf Tarkett and we were delighted to be a lead sponsor, present our research and interact with Universities across the country.
Describe your experience working with U SPORTS University Athletics Tradeshow Management Company, The Building Blocks Group on the Tradeshow.
Working with The Building Blocks Group on this project was a delight. Professional throughout, both the planning and execution of the event went extremely well. We will be back in 2019!
